Cleanroom

Cleanliness is important because impurities can cause defects in a product and reduces its service life.

The demand for product cleanliness have gradually become a crucial part of the quality requirements of many industries, including that of the automotive, aviation, semiconductors as well as that of medical equipment manufacturing. Product cleanliness refers to the presence of foreign particles on the surface of products. In other words, it is the degree of contamination of the product surface by foreign impurities. To achieve the required standard of cleanliness, strict limits are specified for the presence of pollutants, airborne particulates, dust and contaminants within the controlled environment of the cleanroom. Cleanliness is important because impurities can cause defects in a product and reduces its service life.

GMORS operates cleanroom facilities with the highest level of cleanliness to meet the requirements of our customers for product cleanliness. A cleanroom is an enclosed environment where sources of contaminant in the air are highly controlled, and that usually refers to a limit to the number of particles in a specific volume of space. Different levels of cleanroom classification correspond to the maximum allowable amount of fine dust particles in a given volume of space. Generally speaking, the number of particles above 0.5μm is used as a reference. The international standard specification ISO-14644 is the defining standard for the classification of cleanroom levels.

GMORS has built Class 100,000 (ISO Class 8), Class 1,000 (ISO Class 6), Class 100 (ISO Class 5) cleanrooms in accordance to international cleanroom standard specification ISO-14644. GMORS offers a range of choices for level of cleanliness for cleanrooms to meet the requirements of product manufacturing in different industries such as the automotive industry, aerospace, semiconductor and medical equipment. In addition to quality inspection and packaging, cleaning processes can also be performed in the cleanroom. This will ensure that contamination from tiny foreign particles remaining on the surface of products can be reduced, resulting in both quality and quantity improvements by raising the cleanliness level of the product.
